Planning & Budgeting

Planning & Budgeting

Godfrey Block Club members plan their scope of work and set their budget in preparation for project implementation.

Winslow Block Club

Landscaping development of two vacant lots into a community greenspace and garden. Engaged two landscape architects, received large donation of mulch, purchased palette of paving stones, pre-drilled post holes with auger, planned field trip to Tyler St. Garden, held four project days. Installed two pergolas, a greenhouse, stadium lighting, defined four distinct spaces with boulders and mulch, planted various planter boxes and in-ground flowers and greenery, installed children’s area, storage shed, seating areas, and garden memorial.

Easton Block Club

Beautified 30 homes with one or more of the following; including painting, gutter repair, installation of hanging and potted flowers, mulch, pond stones, solar-powered home address signs, mailboxes, and planters. Also, re-posted the leaning block club sign, added large planters and flower arrangement and lights.

Square Gardens by Fillmore Forward

Installation of water line connected to City / municipal water connection. The community organization recently installed several planters and a greenhouse on two combined lots that have been converted into a community garden. The waterline was critical for the installation and maintenance of the garden.

East Lovejoy Coalition of Neighbors

Purchased two custom trash receptacles from The Foundry. Purchased and installed two benches from The Park. Received approval from City for bench and trash receptacle installation; identified installation company to install within budget. Trash receptacles soon to be installed.
